What you need to know.

The Y Geelong School Holiday Program run daily activities during the school holidays. As part of this program there are optional day camp excursions available to all registered families to attend carefully planned activity days at Camp Wyuna in Queenscliff.

In order to attend these programmed excursions families must register and book.

The activities are designed and recommended for specific age groups, and are run for limited days.

Monday-Friday 7:30AM – 6:00PM

Dates Available
School Holiday Program operates during all Victorian school holidays. Not open for School Holiday Program or Public Holidays.

Signing In/Out
All children must be SIGNED IN upon arrival at the centre. Children must be signed in by 9:00am. Sign in sheets are grouped as:

  • Prep/Grade 1 - Junior
  • Grades 2/3 - Intermediate
  • Grades 4/5 - Senior
  • Grade 6 & over - Teenagers
  • Camp Excursion - Excursion Program

All children booked in on Camp Days or other excursion days will be expected to attend however participation is not compulsory. Families will, however, still be charged the excursion day fee. Children will arrive back at Newtown Stadium by approximately 4:30pm on Camp Days.

Signing in at Camp Wyuna:
If meeting the excursion group at Camp Wyuna please ensure this is communicated on the booking form. Sign in must occur around the time of the groups arrival at camp, 10:00am and sign out must occur at the time of the groups departure, approximately 3:30pm.

Transportation

On days where families book to attend Camp activities, children will be transported by a 25 seat bus, driven by a qualified YMCA staff member (departing and returning to and from Newtown Stadium). Children meeting the group at Camp Wyuna will not need to worry about transportation as they should be signed in and out at the site.

What to bring

All children are required to have

  • Snack for the morning (check program for if snack is provided)
  • Lunch (check program for if snack is provided)
  • Snack for the afternoon (check program for if snack is provided)
  • Refillable drink bottle
  • Appropriate footwear
  • Warm clothes (cold weather)
  • Change of clothes
  • Hat (broad-brimmed or legionnaires)
