Our Artist
Ashleigh
Originally from a jazz background, Ashleigh found her passion for Motown and Soul music when she joined world-renowned girl band 'Sweethearts' at just 14 years of age.
Ashleigh has been an integral member of several diverse music acts over the years. She has had great success with several of her original songs signing them to music libraries across the globe. Most recently her first single 'Little Love' scored a placement on episode one, season two, of hit ABC TV show 'Harrow'.
Izaak
Jack and Izaak have been singing and performing for as long as they can remember. They met in 2018 and have collaborated on many artistic ventures. Both perform regularly in Melbourne with the wildly popular and long standing comedy troupes Impromptunes and The Big Hoo-Haa! Izaak and Jack have extensive backgrounds in music and voice, so it is a relished opportunity for them to perform together in the Geelong Carols by Candlelight event and a wonderful opportunity for Jack to come back to his hometown of Geelong.

Jamie
Jamie grew up in Colac as part of a large family with six brothers, five sisters, taxi driver Mum and vocal director and dairy legend Dad. Jamie is well known on the Geelong stage having performed in a plethora of musicals including Les Miserables (Javert), My Fair Lady (Henry Higgins), Wicked (The Wizard), Beauty and the Beast (Cogsworth), The Witches of Eastwick (Daryl Van Horne), Miss Saigon (The Engineer), Mary Poppins (Mr Banks), Mamma Mia (Sam Carmichael) and many more. Away from theatre Jamie is the owner and manager of his own café – The Farmer’s Son - in Colac and he is a proud Dad to his three wonderful children Josh, Thomas and Olivia.
Sophia
Trained at NIDA, Sophia's stage highlights include Funny Girl starring Caroline O’Connor (The Production Company), and Australian tours of Wild World - The Cat Stevens' Story (HIT Productions) and Cafe Rebetika! (The Follies Company). Sophia spent two years workshopping and touring the country in Strictly Ballroom the Musical (Global Creatures), directed by Baz Luhrmann, originating for the stage the infamous character Liz Holt, as well as understudying and performing the show's heroine, Fran.
For television, Sophia has appeared in Packed To The Rafters (7 Network), as prisoner Mel Barrett in Seasons 4 & 5 of Wentworth (Fremantle Media), and as Dilara in the ABC's hit drama miniseries, 7 Types of Ambiguity (Matchbox Pictures).
Sophia is thrilled to be performing at this year's Carols, and especially for the first time in front of her children.
Soul Sister Swings
Soul Sister Swing features three fabulous singers, Gail Lambert, Lynda Morrow and Carol McAlister, with music from the 40s big band swing era through the sixties and Motown soul sounds. They are renowned for their infectious rhythms, superb harmonies and toe-tapping tunes. They’ve been delighting their audiences, performing both locally and Australia wide for over 30 years and bring a sense of fun and vitality to every song they perform.
Summer
A quirky 17-year old born with passion. Be ready to be taken out of this world with her deep, unique tunes, all written from the soul. Her three years staring as a lead in the Sweethearts band has shaped her into the young woman she is today.
Ever since she could talk, there was always a way for her to find a time and place to sing. Anywhere the world was on hold. Growing up as a shy girl, the thoughts in her head always made their way into a song. This love for music grew and longed for more; someone to share it with.
