The Y offers the opportunity for kids and adults to get involved and have some fun with basketball. With both social and developmental programs on offer, it’s the perfect sport for the whole family to enjoy.
Aussie Slammers
Aussie Slammers is a Y Geelong basketball skills development program for children aged 5-9 and 9-14. This program runs for 45mins once a week providing the basics and fundamentals of basketball. Sessions will be focused on dribbling, passing, catching, shooting and rebounding as well as teaching participants about teamwork, sportsmanship and how to stay healthy and active.
Aussie Slammers will lead players into our Junior Basketball Competition where children are able to enter our rookie or junior grades of our basketball competition.
Our Aussie Slammers program is developed by our sports coaches, to help support the children as they progress their skills and love for basketball. Many friendships will be made and lots of fun will be had in a safe environment.
This program is a term based activity that allows a trial class to be completed first before committing to the remainder of the term.
Ongoing bookings and price amounts will be calculated on the remaining weeks of the term.
