About the job

The Y Geelong is seeking individuals with the relevant qualifications and enthusiasm to work with children on our Outside School Hours Care at Bannockburn and Vacation Care at Newtown.

The Lead Educators need to be hands on, engaging educators who will deliver fun activities, be a team player and enjoy being part of a program that ensures children thrive, learn and have fun.

Applicants will require an ACECQAA approved qualification that is Diploma, Working towards Diploma or above.

Will be required to obtain a current Working with Children Card - Employee, National Criminal History Check and First Aid HLTAID012.

The Y Geelong Board and Management are committed to the safety and wellbeing of children and young people in accordance with our Safeguarding Children and Young People framework. All applicants must undergo satisfactory screening prior to commencement, including but not limited to:

  • A national criminal history check;
  • An international criminal history checks where applicants have worked overseas;
  • Holding or obtaining a valid Working with Children Card;
  • Three reference checks.

The successfully appointed applicant will be required to adhere to the Safeguarding Children and Young People policies and practices which include; safeguarding children and young people induction, annual SCYP training programs and committing to upholding the safety and wellbeing of children and young people throughout terms of employment.
