The Cleaner will be required to work weekdays and some weekends, you will be responsible for providing high quality cleaning services across multiple locations/facilities, and helping to produce a safe, home-like environment and supporting the dignity and privacy of our clients. The position requires the implementation of safe work practices and adherence to YMCA policies and procedures at all times.

The ideal person will be hard working, committed to continuous improvement and genuinely interested in working with people from all walks of life. Customer service, systematic work practices and time management is a large component of this position. You will be a person who enjoys attention to detail and has boundless enthusiasm for working with people. You will demonstrate your commitment to the YMCA and its values.

Safeguarding Children and Young People Requirements
YMCA Geelong Board and Management are committed to the safety and wellbeing of children and young people in accordance with our Safeguarding Children and Young People framework. All applicants must undergo satisfactory screening prior to commencement, including but not limited to:

  • an international criminal history check where applicants have worked overseas;
  • holding or obtaining a valid Working with Children Card;

The successfully appointed applicant will be required to adhere to the Safeguarding Children and Young People policies and practices which include; safeguarding children and young people induction, annual SCYP training programs & committing to upholding the safety and wellbeing of children and young people throughout terms of employment.
