Every year thousands of students visit our beautiful campsite, each developing their own unique experience
As an experienced provider of school camping programs, we understand the role of camp in providing students with opportunities for personal growth, building the community spirit of the student cohort and immersing students in the natural world.
It is our goal to provide students with a tailored, specialised experience that is strategically shaped by our comprehensive learning framework. We pride ourselves on offering outcomes-based programming that is suitable for schools of all sizes and abilities.
We like to make things easy for you too.
When your school goes on camp with the Y, we strive to make sure the planning and execution are as stress-free as possible. Our friendly and qualified camp leaders will work with your group to develop our program, offer organisational and logistical support and guide your school group through the camp experience.

School Programs
Our programs and activities strongly promote the importance of nature play and adventure.
Young people are naturally drawn to the great outdoors to enjoy nature's playground. Not only does spending time outside encourage good health, it also teaches young people how to unplug and enjoy ‘fun stuff’ like running, swinging, jumping and taking in fresh air and sunshine.
Our programs and activities strongly promote the importance of nature play and adventure.
Across our seven unique campsites, students are free to explore and discover a new sense of themselves, and a new connection to others and nature.
Designed on a comprehensive educational learning framework, we tailor programs to meet the needs and objectives of your school - whether it be for a single year level or the entire school’s camping needs.
Each campsite has a wide range of adventure-based opportunities on offer including specialised activities only instructed by qualified YMCA Camp leaders and a range of non-specialised camp activities that can be led by teachers.
The cost of your camp program is dependent on the number of specialised activities you choose to be instructed by YMCA camp leaders.
School Packages
YMCA programs are designed in consultation with schools to best meet the individual needs of each school. Schools may choose to select from two structured packages:
- Package One: 100% of the camp program instructed by YMCA staff i.e. all activities
- Package Two: 50% of the camp program instructed by YMCA staff i.e. 50% of adventure activities facilitated by YMCA instructors and 50% of passive activities are led by teaching staff.
Pre-camp preparation
To assist teachers with the sometimes daunting task of organizing a school camp, YMCA camp staff are available to provide support, advice and valuable resources/tools to make this phase more manageable. Support includes:
